AIT Fenov Memorial Scholarship Overview
Fenov Pierre-Louis was beloved by many, and anyone who came into contact with him came away inspired. His incredible speeches have been viewed hundreds of thousands of times, and all who view them came away amazed at the poise and grace exhibited by Fenov. It was easy to forget that Fenov was just a high school kid, who would have been entering his senior year.
Fenov was a student at the Academy of Information Technology (AIT), one of the top high schools in the United States. Despite missing a great deal of time due to his constant treatments, he was an honors student and was inducted into the National Honor Society. He dreamed of becoming a biomedical engineer. It was at AIT that Fenov forged many of his closest friendships, with fellow students and teachers alike. AIT became a second home to Fenov, and he greatly enjoyed his time there.
Fenov’s passing on July 18, 2018 came just months before he was to begin his Senior year at AIT. He was looking forward to applying to colleges and continuing his education. We know that had kancer not taken him from us, he’s have gone on to accomplish great things.
Congratulations to our 2025 AIT Fenov Pierre Louis Memorial Scholarship Winner

It was with both pride & sadness that Jam Kancer in The Kan attended Senior Night at The Academy of Information Technology to present the Fenov Pierre Louis Memorial Scholarship in honor of our hero. Fenov was there in spirit as we presented Cailyn Jurczak with a $2,500.00 scholarship for her efforts creating & distributing Port Pillows, small handmade cushions that velcro onto seat belts in order to protect the ports of people living with kancer. We congratulate Cailyn for her amazing efforts to help Jam Kancer In The Kan!
