ZACH’S MISSION

Zach  Bogosian was born and raised in Massena , New York, and was drafted # 3  overall by the Atlanta Thrashers ( later relocated as the  Winnipeg Jets) in 2008, making his NHL debut at the age of 18. In 2014, Bogosian was traded to the Buffalo Sabres, where he currently serves as an Alternate Captain. Long known as as one of the true good guys who never says no to helping others, Zach is a firm believer that professional athletes should use the platform provided to them to help make a positive impact in their communities.

In 2015, Zach  and his wife Bianca, a former professional soccer player, started the Bogo Bunch Foundation, in honor of Zach’s  grandmother Armen, who battled kancer for many years. They held their first fundraising event, ” Casino for a Cause” in January of 2017 and raised over $54,000 for Roswell Park Cancer Center. Later in 2017, Zach read an article written by New York Islanders star Anders Lee about his Kancer Jam event and reached out to Lee. That conversation led to the creation of the Zach Bogosian Kancer Jam, which was held on the floor of the KeyBank Center on  March 8, 2018, following the Sabre’s game versus the Las Vegas Golden Knights. ” Bogo Jam” raised nearly $75,000 for the Bogo Bunch Foundation, and once again the proceeds were donated to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
