In January of 2021, Franco Monnecka, a then 12 year -old hockey player for the Secaucus Patriots, was diagnosed with a rare form of Hodgkins lymphoma. He immediately began treatments at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City, and underwent 3 surgeries and multiple rounds of chemotherapy. We're happy to report that Franco is now cancer-free and is back on the ice playing the sport he loves.
Determined to give back to those who supported him throughout his ordeal, Franco selected the Jam Kancer In The Kan Foundation as the beneficiary for the 2nd annual Franco Strong Hockey Kancer Jam tournament and saw 10 teams compete. Franco Hockey Jam II raised over $25,000 for children affected by a kancer diagnosis!
