Honoring Phil’s Legacy Through Golf and Giving
Phil Orsini was more than just a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, colleague, teacher, coach, and friend – he was a source of joy, kindness and unwavering strength.
Phil was an altruistic, compassionate, humble person who loved deeply. He felt most grounded surrounded by friends but nothing compared to his role as the most amazing girl dad to Lena and Amelia.
With a wicked sense of humor, a great smile, patience of a saint and a heart of gold, he left an indelible mark on everyone he knew.
Phil’s battle with cancer showed us the power of resilience and the importance of community. To celebrate the life Phil lived to the fullest, honor his memory and continue his spirit of generosity, we are gathering on the greens to partake in just one of Phil “Parsini’s” many hobbies for the first-ever Phil Orsini Memorial Golf Kancer Jam, aka “#ParsiniGolfJam”.
While #ParsiniGolfJam will feature many of the traditional elements of a golf outing, it will also be imbued with many things that capture Phil’s spirit:
In short, while we are indeed raising money for an important cause, we will be doing it in true Phil fashion where we have one big party to celebrate and remember our beloved friend.
Proceeds from "#ParsiniGolfJam" will enable us to honor Phil by awarding "Play 4 Phil" Scholarships and helping others similarly affected by brain cancer and other diagnoses via the Jam Kancer in the Kan Foundation, a local charity that has supported our family both during Phil's battle and after his passing.
Location: Shackamaxon Golf & Country Club- 100 Tillinghast Turn, Scotch Plains, New Jersey.
8:30 am- Hot Breakfast Buffet Served.
10:00am- Shotgun Start.
Lunch served on course, courtesy of Hershey’s Subs & Deli.
3:00pm-4:00pm ( approximately) Cocktail Reception.
4:00pm-6:00pm-Dinner/Awards.
- Live bets taking place on the golf course

- An acoustic Punk Rock band will be playing many of Phil's favorite songs during the cocktail & dinner hours
